Does the Foundation fund treatment abroad?

Yes. Where specialist treatment is unavailable in Nigeria, the Foundation has funded members travelling abroad — including to India for organ transplants and cardiac procedures. Decisions are made case-by-case by the Review Committee.

How long does approval take?

The Review Committee targets a decision within 7 days of a complete submission. Urgent cases are escalated immediately. You receive an acknowledgement by email as soon as your application arrives.

What documents do I need?

Proof of ExJAM alumni membership and a signed income declaration are required for all cases. Medical cases additionally require a current report from a licensed practitioner. Other documents may be requested depending on the programme.

Can I reapply if declined?

Yes. After addressing the stated reasons for decline, you may resubmit your application. The board reviews all reapplications with fresh eyes.

Where does my money go?

100% of your donation goes directly to the named beneficiary or general relief fund. Zero admin fees are deducted. Operational costs are funded separately so every naira you give reaches someone in need.

Can I donate from outside Nigeria?

Yes. Stripe accepts international Visa, Mastercard, and American Express cards. Members in the UK, US, Canada, Europe, and Asia give through the portal. Your receipt arrives by email instantly.

Yes. Donor identities are never published. The Foundation handles all giving with full discretion — recipients are told that support came from the community, not from any named individual.

Yes — the Ex-Junior Airmen Humanitarian Foundation is registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission of Nigeria (CAC) as an Incorporated Trustee. Our RC number is available on request.

What is the difference between a member and an ambassador?

Members donate and can apply for support. Ambassadors go further — they recruit new members, represent the Foundation in their chapter, and earn tier recognition. Apply to become an ambassador through the portal.

Members must remain in good standing with the Foundation. Active membership entitles you and your immediate dependants to apply for support. Contributions are voluntary — emergency cases are never declined because a member has not yet contributed.

The Foundation is funded entirely by voluntary contributions from ExJAM members — those who trained at the Air Force Military School (AFMS), Jos. Any member or their immediate family facing a serious medical need is eligible to benefit. Eligibility is assessed through the Foundation's intake process. To become a member: donate to the Foundation. There is no step 2.

Right now, yes — mostly. We fund mental health care, organ transplants, laser eye surgery, cancer treatment, and major surgery. We are working on more: natural disasters, extreme poverty, scholarships. If your need does not fit a category, reach out anyway. We will listen.

Is there a minimum or maximum amount to donate?

No minimum. No maximum. Every naira counts. You give what you can, when you can — monthly, quarterly, yearly. The act of giving is what matters.

How do I send money to ExJAM and how often?

Transfer directly to our GTB corporate account: 0121025547 (Ex-Junior Airmen Humanitarian Foundation). Include your name in the transfer comment and you will receive a private acknowledgement. Contributions may be made at any frequency. Monthly giving is particularly valuable as it enables the Foundation to plan ahead for active cases.

Growing the membership and keeping donations consistent. That is it. We run entirely on what members give voluntarily. More members means more we can do. If you know an ExJAM who is not part of this yet — today is a good day to change that.

Click "Forgot password" on the login page and enter your registered email. You will receive a reset link within a few minutes. Check your spam folder if it does not arrive.

Log in to your member portal and go to the Dashboard. All past donations, receipts, and payment statuses are listed there.

How do I cancel a recurring donation?

Log in to the portal, go to Recurring Giving, and click Cancel next to the donation you want to stop. The cancellation takes effect immediately — no further charges will be made.

How do I sponsor a fellow ExJAM who is very sick?

Yes, and you are encouraged to. Listing your ExJAM Foundation membership on LinkedIn and other platforms raises awareness and brings in new members. Spreading the word is itself a form of service.

Donor contributions are acknowledged privately. We never disclose who received help — dignity comes first. Financial summaries and case outcomes are reported to the Board and shared within the active membership. Transparency operates within the ExJAM community, not beyond it.
